In rooms
Where Reed earns its place.
Turned wood and a forest-green shade printed with gold birds. A floor lamp for a library, not a gallery.
Beside the shelves
Wood against wood. The birds are the only gold.
In a bedroom corner
Far enough from the bed to light the room, not the book.
